What an awesome year it has been for Layover Adventure! Thank you for your support, encouragement and engagment. The idea that layovers don’t have to be painful! That you can re-claim your layover and do the things that you enjoy when travelling, meet new people, share layover tips, access travel deals and be inspired by other travellers. It may have not taken off yet! Lol! We know it will in the future with your help.

I shared the crazy idea of making layovers a more happy experience, on my trip to San Francisco in April and got some positive feedback about the idea!

I had a lot of fun at Beach Boost, made friends and was inpsired to move forward with my startup idea!

August - I went on a Layover Adventure (short-break of up to three days) to Paris. I shared my survival tips with you everyone. :)

As they say all good things have to come to an end. I enjoyed some final sunshine in the urban park near the modern art musuem. I took the Bart back to the airport rather than the airport shuttle for a final authentic San Franciscan travel experience. I managed to get to the airport on time and through security. I also managed to leave my laptop at security and had to respond to a tannoy call to claim it back. So until the next time San Francisco!

The Hotel Mosser, my last and final hotel. I am sure if it was just me and the warm weather, but my fan was on the duration for both hotel rooms!

In San Francisan terms, its been a hella cool time for me in San Francisco. I hope to keep in touch with my new connections in this city and hope that they too enjoyed the time we had together! Maybe I’ll see some of them in London. It’s homeward bound for me now. Thanks for a great time!

Ocean Beach part two and random street art on Market Street. My farewell to the beach was today. Oh my gosh was it windy on the beach, I feel like I have experienced a sandstorm! It was even too windy to read, but it was nice to walk on the sand and take in the views.

The Haight Street and Castro experience. Some random photos, when I first went to that part of town, I did not have my camera in hand! It was another great weather day and the views from Buena Vista Park on Haight Street were good.

I love the Ferry Building too, a great place to shop and eat on the Warf but not at the toursity side. I also learned the grey bridge is the Bay Bridge and not some other discoloured part of the Golden Gate Bridge! There is also a statue of Ghandi near pier 2 which is really interesting.

I went to see “Bonsai”, a film from Chile which is a romatic/comedy/drama, which was the the Pacific Archieve Theatre. It was an interesting film, I always like to see international films to get a flavour for other cultures and possible places to visit! I visisted Berkely, home to the famous University for the film fest. It was a typical uni town, I enjoyed some great chinese and also had a look in the local Crossroads shop. I picked up an amazing bag, if the intended recipent does not want it I will totally keep it. It’s a black and white large faux snake skin bag and is very classy in my humble oppnion. I also managed to find some green space and take a little rest before the film, as the weather was not bad either!
